CG Beta 2 & 3

Had 2 sessions on Beta the past 2 weeks. News: Welcome back also to Peiyun from her trip. Thank God for a blessed time of ministry and interaction with the youths through sports. Lifen also wrote back to inform that it has been finalised that she will be returning on 30th Apr. Xinmin is going to be stopping work soon, and preparing to head off to Australia for work as well. Praise God for His provision to Hongmei who is starting her course in Early Childhood in end-Mar.

CG Beta Session 1

Had our first Beta session on "The Good News" (1 John 5:12) in our 2 groups today. Wenxing's group met at Rindu, Tim's group met at church. Welcome to our new friend, Amilyn, who joined us for the first time (found out that she was Joy's schoolmate too). Also to an "old" friend, Kevin, who is looking to settle into a CG after returning from studies. And to 3 of the TF young adults, Hui Ru, Joel and James, who joined us for the video session too.

Bday dinner with friends

Had a bday dinner with friends on Sunday. Was a good time, making takopochi balls, watching NBA All-Star weekend, half of Moulin Rouge, and table soccer competition (which the guys won*! :p) I thank God for the gift and blessing of friendship, and the community of believers, united together as one in the body of Christ. That's one of the greatest blessings I thank God for this year - you! All of you have made an impact and influence on my life. Thank God for His grace and love in the past year.

CG Sports Night - Bowling

Had our CG Sports Night organised by Nat. We met at Textile Centre near Lavender MRT, tucked away on the 8th floor of an office building. Had a few rounds of bowling, and some played pool as well. Glad to have Dennis, Jim's friend, join us as well.

CG Accountability 2 + Multiply Announcement

Finished up on BS on Accountability (Who and How?) today. After discussion and prayer, Tim shared about the multiplication plans and 2 new groups. We loooked at the Need, Mandate andVision for Multiplying (focusing on relationships, the Great Commission, and growth). Here's the notes for the BS.

YA Blading & BBQ

Weather was great today. Couple of our members were at the Blading Clinic at 3pm, and most of us joined later on for the BBQ at East Coast Park. Quite a few new friends, praise the Lord. Managed to catch up with Teck, Raymond, David, Brad, Zhou Qi. Click below for some photos and clips.

CG BS Accountability 1 + Feb Bdays

Began a BS series on Accountability. Today we looked at the What and Why? of accountable relationships, our church's 2nd core value. We also celebrated Feb birthdays, namely Zhenghui (3/2) and Xinhong, Xinmin (9/2).

Dinner with supported missionaries

Attended wake of Charles' grandmother on Fri night, conducted by YCK Chapel. Treated him and Hongyan to dinner at Bishan Pastamania with some CG members on Sunday night. They will be around until next Sunday, 12th Feb.

CNY Visitation - Zhenghui/Renzi's

Couple of us visited Zhenghui and Renzi's family on 3rd day of CNY. We had a short time of conversation over snacks.

CG CNY Dinner

Was a great time of food, fun and fellowship as we celebrated Chinese New Year as a CG. Glad that Isaac, David, Michael, Loong and Conrad could join us. We had traditional steamboat (+ bbq) and enjoyed a round of Guesstures which had everyone enjoying themselves with fun and laughter.

Vineyard Retreat

Almost 8-10 of us attended the Vineyard Retreat over the Fri-Sat weekend in church. It was a refreshing time of learning from God's Word and sharing and praying through the goals and direction for the new year. A couple of us went for dinner at Novena after the Sat session.

CG Prayer & Praise

4 of us got together for our first CG P&P this year, as most of the members were at the Vineyard Retreat. Abrie, Jason, Jeanie (new friend), and myself spent the time worshipping and praying through the church baseline prayer items. It was a truly anointed time of just coming before the Lord in the quietness of Rindu and waiting on Him as He moved us to pray. Really experienced God's abiding presence and peace with us that night.
