CG Outing

The girls from Tim/Xinhong's group met at Xinhong's place for lunch fellowship, whilst Wenxing/Nat's group met at Nat's place for Breaking the Da Vinci Code video, and discussion.

Sin Ming: Greetings from Down Under

Hi everyone,

Well, thanks for your prayers. I am doing well so far. The weather has been good for the past week. Actually managed to get quite a couple of things done including buying furnitures and settling some of my administrative stuffs. Now waiting for furnitures to come in and in the mean time trying to buy a car. Hiring one at the moment.

Many blessings to count actually. Firstly, how I got around Perth safely and how I got to church safely on Sunday. My church has moved house thus was going round and round looking for it. Finally decided that this is too much of a hassle and parked my car and started walking to church instead. It is nice indeed to meet up with my church mates again although many things seems to have changed...

On the whole, I am doing fine and well. Work is starting only next week. Will keep you guys updated.

Sun - prayer for Lifen

Lifen arrived last night about 10pm, and joined us for 1st service on Sunday. After service, we spent some time to pray for her as she transitions back to work life here in Singapore, adjusting to 2 new summer interns and new colleague. Pray for full recovery of health as well, as she was sick over the weekend.

CG Beta Session 6

Prayed for Xinmin as a CG tonight. She shared about her final preparations (esp. admin), and the 1st 2 weeks there before she would start work, to settle housing, phone, bank, etc. Pray for God's protection and safety as she travels by car for work, and smooth transition into the work life and integration into the church life too. Pray for God to refresh and grow her as she seeks to spend more time reading and learning from His Word. Flight details: QA32, Tue 9.30am.

CG Beta Session 5

Spent some time to give thanks to God for Kevin who got baptised and Heather who transferred membership to Bartley on Easter Sunday. Also prayed for Church Camp fund-raising the coming Sunday, where some of our members set up a sandwich stall, to raise funds for camp subsidies.

We will take up an offering (on last week of May) for church camp, for those who are not going, to bless those who are intending to go, but have financial difficulties.

Easter + Baptism Sunday

2 of our CG members got baptised today, Lynnett and Kevin. Also, Jason and Heather transferred their membership to Bartley as well. Many friends and family were present to witness their baptism, and hear the gospel message as well. Welcome to the Bartley family!

CG Good Friday (Picnic/Treetop Walk)

Praise God for holding off the monsoon rains that hit some parts of Singapore to the point of 77cm of flooding. Our 2 groups met at MacRitchie and Botanic Gardens for a tree-top walk and picnic. Thank God for the new friends that joined us, Shu Hui, Calvin and Grace.

YA "Great Bowling Friendly"

Praise God for a great night of bowling fun. We had a total of 25 new friends from TF (Tertiary) and YA CGs that joined us. Praise the Lord! Also had the chance to challenge them on the truths about Christ, and invited them for our Good Friday and Easter events.

CG Beta 2 & 3

Had 2 sessions on Beta the past 2 weeks. News: Welcome back also to Peiyun from her trip. Thank God for a blessed time of ministry and interaction with the youths through sports. Lifen also wrote back to inform that it has been finalised that she will be returning on 30th Apr. Xinmin is going to be stopping work soon, and preparing to head off to Australia for work as well. Praise God for His provision to Hongmei who is starting her course in Early Childhood in end-Mar.

CG Beta Session 1

Had our first Beta session on "The Good News" (1 John 5:12) in our 2 groups today. Wenxing's group met at Rindu, Tim's group met at church. Welcome to our new friend, Amilyn, who joined us for the first time (found out that she was Joy's schoolmate too). Also to an "old" friend, Kevin, who is looking to settle into a CG after returning from studies. And to 3 of the TF young adults, Hui Ru, Joel and James, who joined us for the video session too.

Bday dinner with friends

Had a bday dinner with friends on Sunday. Was a good time, making takopochi balls, watching NBA All-Star weekend, half of Moulin Rouge, and table soccer competition (which the guys won*! :p) I thank God for the gift and blessing of friendship, and the community of believers, united together as one in the body of Christ. That's one of the greatest blessings I thank God for this year - you! All of you have made an impact and influence on my life. Thank God for His grace and love in the past year.
